Do you remember your first love?
And I don't mean the romantic kind. Rather, I mean that thing which been a part of your life since before you can remember; that thing that lights up your face and fills your heart with joy and sets your soul on fire.
For me, that thing was horses.
I think our first love always stays with us, doesn’t it? Certainly, you'll probably notice a bit of an equine presence around here!
Studying horses taught me how to draw, how to observe shape, colour and movement, and how to really pay attention. And as I grew, their mysterious, intuitive, empathic language would teach me profound respect not just for all creatures, but all of nature, and the unspoken understandings that we share.
I saw spirit, enchantment and interconnectedness in everything, and my fascinations with nature, creativity and spiritual traditions would later lead me to a love affair with the stars and the stories that they can tell us about our lives.
Today, I’m an artist of wild and whimsical things and an astrologer for creative souls. I create colourful, intuitive animal artwork imbued with enchantment and sparkle, and guide other artists and creative humans (a phrase which I believe can be used to include all of us, because one of the things that I think defines the human condition is our innate ability to create) using the wisdom and secrets hidden within their unique astrological birth charts.​ And I do all of this from a little cottage on the northern edge of Snowdonia.

Wild & Whimsical Art Inspired by Magic, Folklore & the Natural World...
WaterHorse Artistry was born at the end of 2014 after walking out of a job that I hated, as a way of returning to the things that made my soul happy.

It soon grew into my own little business where I create and share colourful animal artwork inspired by nature, magic and myth, and I also offer commissions for enchanted pet portraiture and animal illustrations. The arts have the ability to transcend us beyond the material and the mundane; it is my belief that there is so much magic woven unseen into the world, and my hope that through my work I can help others begin to discover it for themselves.

Pegasus Astrology didn't come into being until the beginning of 2023, but in the years before that, astrology had started playing important roles in my creative practice, my understanding of myself, and thus also my work.
